Jobs & Workforce Development
All workers deserve a living wage, paid sick leave, and safe working conditions. I will work to expand and protect the right to collectively bargain without intimidation or harassment across our state.
Three top labor and workforce priorities include:
1) Occupational Work Licenses
In 2022, I introduced HB 2796 and championed legislation that would expand occupational work licenses for Arizona's diverse immigrant community looking to apply their education and preparation to meet our state's labor needs.
2) Union-led Working Improvements
As the son of an AFSCME 2960 Chief Union Steward, and the grandson of two union members, I will continue to advocate for a living wage, paid sick leave, and safe working conditions for all workers across our state.
3) Protecting Workers' Rights
Arizona can create a thriving workforce and promote job satisfaction, which is essential for a robust and thriving economy. I will work to expand and safeguard the right to collectively bargain without intimidation or harassment.
